Midsummer at Bohus Fortress

Celebrating Midsummer at Bohus Fortress is an experience beyond the ordinary. While the sun dances over the historic walls, we gather to welcome the summer with joy and togetherness. 
In the center stands the majestic Midsummer pole, adorned with birch kris and the colors of the Swedish flag, which rises proudly towards the sky.

Take part in wreath-tying and dancing around our Midsummer pole with the Hjärtums Spelmanslag and Kongahälla Folkdanslag.

PARKING

Parking is available nearby around the fortress, partly on the fortress island and also in the shuttle parking at Eriksdal. Bus X4 runs from Gothenburg to the Eriksdal or Fars hatt stops. 

ACCESSIBILITY

People with disabilities should arrive earlier to the event to get in as smoothly as possible. We have a disabled entrance and elevator.

Dogs are always welcome with us.
